Sturdy black housing has a 4" x 2" aspherical lens with 3X magnification and
a 2" Diameter biconvex sliding lens with 3X magnification. Total magnification 6X,
distortion free. Upper and lower housing can be separated by means of a special
magnetic lock.
The upper housing holds one 4 Watt white fluorescent tube and one 4 Watt
ultraviolet tube (longwave). Either one can be replaced by an optional shortwave
tube (shown below). The lower housing holds one 4 Watt white fluorescent tube.
Each tube can be switched on individually.
The size of the working area is 4" x 3".
The unit comes with an additional clear plate and with one perforation gauge
which can be inserted in the working area. The perforation gauge shows
perforations from 10 to 16-1/2 in 1/4 increments. You can even remove the top
section of the housing (as shown in picture), to examine art work, collections
in an album or other items in protective sleeves.
